Learning Goals

Through successful completion of the minor in global politics, students will be able to:

evaluate major theoretical concepts and demonstrate specific knowledge of global issues, processes, trends, and/or policies;
demonstrate the skills necessary to make critical, informed analyses about global issues, processes, trends, and policies;
apply an interdisciplinary methodology to provide new insight into a global issue, process, trend, or policy; and
use diverse cultural frames of reference to appreciate cultural differences and tolerate cultural ambiguity.

Study abroad is strongly encouraged. A student majoring in political science with a global politics minor may not count more than 6 credits of his or her major toward this minor.
